GodLoveSex Series

We begin our new series GodLoveSex on February 7th. In an effort to help parents better talk to their kids about sex we are making available the HYPE (student ministry) Small Group DVD teachings and the corresponding lessons for the series. You can always find the small group lesson by clicking on the link to the left "What are you teaching my kid?". Our next post will include the DVD teaching for the first two weeks of the series. The first week is an introduction to the series and the second deals with pornography. The third week will consist of a question and answer lesson, where we actually give student the opportunity to ask any question they have about sex. We will, of course, answer the questions from God's perspective. Since we are waiting on the questions we will post that lesson as soon as it is written (there won't be a video that week). Students can ask questions anonymously by filling out a card at church during small group our by visiting the HYPE web site at www.community-christian.net/hype.

The main thing we want you, the parent, to do is TALK TO YOUR KID. Kids are learning, hearing and doing things earlier and earlier in life. An awkward conversation NOW can save your child and you a lot of pain in the future.
